Existing Well Registration

All existing wells in Southwestern Travis County GCD must be registered with the District.

Is your well in our District?

Please visit the interactive map on the Texas Alliance of Groundwater Districts (TAGD) GCD Index to determine if your well is located within SWTCGCD jurisdiction.

Well owners in the BSEACD should register wells here.

Well owners in the HTGCD should register wells here.

Well owners in the BPGCD should register wells here.

Well owners in the CTGCD should register wells here.

The registration process is free to existing well owners and helps protect their established groundwater use.

Registering your well is free and provides data needed to protect existing wells, make informed management decisions, and contact well owners to communicate important information about aquifer conditions, drought declarations, and proposed new wells in your area.

To register an existing well, use the online registration form at the link below or download a registration form here to submit via mail or email (additional instructions are provided on the form).

• Commercial/Non-profit Businesses: churches, schools, restaurants, convenience stores, event/lodging venues, office parks

• Agriculture: commercial crop production, commercial livestock operations, wildlife management

• Industry: manufacturing, quarries, mines, cement plants, processing facilities
